For those that are looking to give their loved ones something special, the iNecklace is definitely a must-give. Especially if your loved one loves tech, specifically, Apple tech.

As you can see, the iNecklace has a power button on it that glows. What you can’t see is that it emulates the breathing LEDs on iMacs and MacBooks.

The chain is 18-inch sterling silver. Other than that, there isn’t too much value as far as precious jewels or metals are concerned on its pendant. The housing is nothing but aluminum, and a battery is required for its shine. The battery is rechargeable, but I am not certain how.

If this iNecklace gets popular, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an iRing, iEarrings, iBracelet, or some other type of iBling. All of them would have that pulsating breath of light. I could totally see Ke$ha draped in these, or Lady Gaga. I’m trying hard to think of what male singer would do this.

Augmented Reality Board

This is the Oggboard, and the “Ogg” is short for augmented reality. The Oggboard combines traditional turn-based strategy games with augmented reality, a nifty piece of technology that I have reported on more than once, for sure.The board has a simplistic yet unusual design where each user places his or her smartphone to view the specially made tiles. This board folds up easily for compact storage.

You can watch the video after the jump to see that the phone’s view creates lifelike game avatars that battle each other out.

The video shows chessman looking like something out of the movie 300, and I can’t wait to see what Stratego looks like. Just think what Dungeons and Dragons or other pencil-and-paper Role Playing Games would look like. The same goes for card based games.

This is definitely another advancement in gaming that could change the gaming field as we know it. Having just returned from the PAX Prime gaming convention last week, I would not be surprised if something like this showed up next year.

Fix Common iPhone Problems

Frozen Screen:

If your iPhone's screen becomes unresponsive or "frozen," your best bet is to power the phone off and on again. If this doesn't work, try to reset your phone by holding the home key and the sleep/wake button at the same time. If it's still frozen, you can connect your phone to your computer and use iTunes to restore the OS. Remember, you should always back up your data before restoring in iTunes.
iPhone won't power on:
This can be a tricky one. Try connecting your iPhone to a power supply and charging the battery. The low battery screen may take a while to appear, so be patient. If that doesn't help, it's possible that you may need to contact Apple's service center or get a new battery.
iPhone won't power off:
If your iPhone won't turn off try forcing it off by holding both the sleep/wake button and the home key for about five seconds. Continue to hold until the Apple logo appears. Your phone should now power on and off normally.
Having trouble connecting iPhone to WiFi:
First, make sure WiFi is enabled in your phone's settings menu. If it's still not working, there are a few things you can try. First, power your iPhone off and on. If that doesn't work, try to restore your device's settings by holding the home key with the sleep/wake key. If your iPhone is having trouble connecting to one specific network, try to force the phone to forget that network. (Settings » touch network name » choose "forget" on next screen). Power off and on, then try to reconnect.
iPhone camera doesn't work:
It's possible that you have restrictions turned on, so first go to settings » general » restrictions and make sure the "allow camera" option is set to on. It is also a good idea to tap "disable restrictions." If this doesn't work, try powering the device off and on or try to reset the device (sleep/wake key with home key). As a last resort, back up your data and then try to restore your phone in iTunes. If none of this works, it's possible that there's an actual hardware problem with your camera, in which case your best bet would be to contact Apple or take the phone to your nearest Apple Store

On Cowon's 'luxury' personal media player (PMP), the Q5W. Though extremely solidly built, with a metal body that feels as if it's armour-plated, this player is just too heavy at 380g to go anywhere without carrying it inside a briefcase or bag. It is not pocket friendly when compared to the more pocket-friendly Archos 605 Wi-Fi or Cowon's own A3.

Its size of course, is largely due to its huge, 800 x 480 5in screen. This is one of the largest you'll encounter in a PM. A glossy finish contributes to dark black levels and a smooth movie-watching experience that's undeniably top of its game. And there's plenty of juice in the built-in battery to enjoy it out on the move. It can offer a decent seven hours of playback time - enough for several full-length movies, including some of the longer ones.

But again, it's not quite good enough to justify the size. Though a pleasure to watch, the aforementioned 605 Wi-Fi and A3 manage to squeeze only slightly smaller 4.3in and 4in screens into much slimmer and more compact chassis. The Q5W also runs pretty hot, and with no kickstand, gets uncomfortable to hold after a while.

Of course size and weight isn't the only big thing about the Q5W. It's also big on features. Rammed into this player's sturdy chassis is a round-up of extras to make a fully-functioning PDA go green at the gills: there's Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an FM radio, a 40GB hard disk and it all runs on a full copy of Windows CE Pro 5.0, which the device drops into whenever you enter web browsing mode. The latter allows you to read and edit Office files (though not the latest .docx formats), play Solitaire or FreeCell and even use MSN Messenger.

Around the edges of the device are more useful features. On the top edge is a pair of reasonably loud speakers (given the size), and under a flap on the side there's not only a mini-USB port but also a full-sized USB-A port for connecting low-powered USB thumbdrives and hard disks for extra capacity and file transfer.

The computer market has been taken by storm with the introduction of tablet PCs. This is evidenced by a decline in HHD sales in 2010 & a corresponding increase in tablet sales. Personally i have found it difficult to type on the tablet which i have gotten used to with my laptop. When the tablet was introduced by Steve Jobs, i remember how people were displeased with how 'ugly' it was. This is however forgotten and the ipad & ipad 2 are giving the sonys, lenovos & acers a run for their money. So why has the tablet become so popular?

1. Tablets provide all the functionality of laptops. You don't have to type to convert your document to electronic form. This is a natural evolution from the conventional laptop.
2. For students, tablets are suitable because of its portability (physical), easy access to resources e.g. Online databases, documents & other learning materials.
3. The stylus is easier to use than a mouse from any angle.
4. Tablet PC are becoming popular gaming devices.
5. Tablet PCs have up to 10 hrs battery life. Laptops have up to 3 hrs battery life which decreases with increase in number of applications like games.

The tablet PCs have their own share of disadvantages

A laptop is more productive than a tablet PC. For a tablet to match up to the productivity of a laptop you need additional accessories e.g. USB Ultra slim multimedia keyboard.
